NEMS Supports American Heart Month and Encourages CPR Training

February is American Heart Month;a month to spread awareness about the importance of heart health. Many families are impacted by heart disease and stroke. Often times, the risk factors can be controlled by eating health foods, exercising regularly, and not smoking. It is important to visit your primary care physician and to consider what steps you and your family will take to promote and adopt a healthy lifestyle.

Additionally, NEMS encourages everyone to learn CPR. It has been well documented that the quicker CPR can be administered in the cases of sudden cardiac death, the better the chance to restore a pulse. Read NEMS Official Press Release here
